What single picture inspires you the most, and why?

 I have seen many various scenery's in my lifetime already. I have fished throughout North Dakota, parts of Canada and have even fished in Alaska. I have hunted in Wyoming and here in North Dakota as well. I have hiked in Montana, Alaska, and throughout the badlands here in North Dakota. I have many pictures as well, but one of my favored pictures I have taken, is one I took on a Mule Deer hunt in the North Dakota Badlands. 

Some people may wonder why I like going into the outdoors so much. In all honesty, it's for views like this. It's the act of getting out into nature. Not all scenery's are like this. However, when I'm standing here overlooking the valleys and the plateaus and such, I feel energized. I feel relieved. Every sense of stress, thought, emotion clears my head and my mind simply goes blank. The feeling I have when I'm out in the outdoors isn't comparable to when I'm at home or elsewhere that I know. I truly feel myself when I'm out in nature and soaking in everything it has to offer.

 To me, getting into the outdoors is simple. To others, this may be a little difficult. However, it's simpler than you may think. To me, getting into the outdoors consists of going out into the badlands and hiking for mule deer, or walking the plains in search of pheasants and other upland game. This can also mean hitting the lake in search of walleyes or whatever bites. This, however, is not the only way to get into the outdoors. Simply getting on your bike and heading to the park is an easy way of getting into the outdoors. Heading to a local park or national park and going for a hike is another way. Getting into the outdoors is very enjoyable, and very beneficial to the human heart and the soul. When I'm out, I feel relieved. The great outdoors clears my mind and shows me the true beauty of the world. It feels like I'm in another world and that's something I want to push onto everyone. What is one of your most memorable experiences in nature?

 With being an outdoorsman, I have quite a few memories of being in nature. However, there's one that stands out the most to me. This experience took place during the fall of my sophomore year of college. I received a mule deer buck tag in the 3B2 unit of North Dakota. Within this unit, I hunted north of Killdeer North Dakota right beside the Little Missouri State Park, just north of the Killdeer mountains. This hunting trip, my dad and I rented out a cabin within the state park from a family whose land we also hunt on. Nothing too fancy, but a nice little wood cabin for a father-son hunting experience.  The hunt started early in the morning, 30 minutes before sunrise. We wake up around 5am to get our morning coffee and breakfast in before a quick morning drive followed by hiking throughout the badlands.   How can video make a measurable difference in people's lives? Video presents the possibility to create the most meaningful messages. It is a medium that does not rely exclusively on words. There are visual elements that the viewer and presenter benefit from. It is a matter of showing versus telling. Evidence of the effectiveness of video is something people witness daily. It is virtually impossible to live a single day without watching a video, whether that video is two seconds, or two hours.
