What is your leadership campaign, and what cause does it serve?

 Hello everyone! My name is Matthew Meschke and I'm an avid outdoorsman who loves to hunt, fish, camp, and overall enjoy nature. My goal with this leadership campaign, "Outdoor Led Life", is to show people that there is much more to the outdoors than just being outside. I want to show people the true beauty of nature whether its hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, etc. Even if you're not an avid outdoorsman like I am, that doesn't mean you can't still enjoy being outside! Basically, just get out into the great outdoors and enjoy the natural resources that we are given. I have been out in the wilderness multiple times regarding various different terrains. The outdoors is like another home to me. When I'm outside hunting, fishing, hiking, etc, everything I feel goes away. The feeling that I get while being outdoors is surreal. It's honestly hard to explain without experiencing it yourself. It's more about just getting out there and doing a hobby that you love. To me, it's getting out there and taking in all the beauty that mother nature has to offer. One of my favorites while being outdoors, is being with loved ones and friends and family. This makes the experience even better. It truly is an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone to see. When I'm out there, I just enjoy the fact that all my stress just seems to temporarily go away. Whether it's hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, bike riding, going for walks, etc, if you can get out there and do something, I would recommend it. Some of these experiences will be discussed to help show you guys the overall goal of the campaign. What does getting into the outdoors look like to you?

 To me, getting into the outdoors is simple. To others, this may be a little difficult. However, it's simpler than you may think. To me, getting into the outdoors consists of going out into the badlands and hiking for mule deer, or walking the plains in search of pheasants and other upland game. This can also mean hitting the lake in search of walleyes or whatever bites. This, however, is not the only way to get into the outdoors. Simply getting on your bike and heading to the park is an easy way of getting into the outdoors. Heading to a local park or national park and going for a hike is another way. Getting into the outdoors is very enjoyable, and very beneficial to the human heart and the soul. When I'm out, I feel relieved. What is one of your most memorable experiences in nature?

 With being an outdoorsman, I have quite a few memories of being in nature. However, there's one that stands out the most to me. This experience took place during the fall of my sophomore year of college. I received a mule deer buck tag in the 3B2 unit of North Dakota. Within this unit, I hunted north of Killdeer North Dakota right beside the Little Missouri State Park, just north of the Killdeer mountains. This hunting trip, my dad and I rented out a cabin within the state park from a family whose land we also hunt on. Nothing too fancy, but a nice little wood cabin for a father-son hunting experience.  The hunt started early in the morning, 30 minutes before sunrise. We wake up around 5am to get our morning coffee and breakfast in before a quick morning drive followed by hiking throughout the badlands.   How can video make a measurable difference in people's lives? Video presents the possibility to create the most meaningful messages. It is a medium that does not rely exclusively on words. There are visual elements that the viewer and presenter benefit from. It is a matter of showing versus telling. Evidence of the effectiveness of video is something people witness daily. It is virtually impossible to live a single day without watching a video, whether that video is two seconds, or two hours.
